One week, two countries, three cities – and countless inspiring conversations about the future of education! The University of Technology and Arts (UTA) has successfully completed its participation in ASK FAIR 9.0, an international education fair bringing together universities, prospective students, and educational partners across Central Asia.
From October 17 to 22, 2026, our journey took us through Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Bishkek and Osh, Kyrgyzstan, where we had the opportunity to connect with young people considering higher education abroad, visit partner schools, and strengthen our international relationships.
Representing UTA throughout the journey was Zuzanna Siwecka, Director of Marketing & International Office, who met with prospective students, their parents, and educational partners to discuss studying in Poland and the opportunities available at our University.
The events provided an excellent opportunity to introduce UTA’s educational offer, answer questions about university life in Poland, and learn more about the ambitions and expectations of the next generation of international students.
Beyond the education fairs themselves, school visits and meetings with local partners added another valuable dimension to the trip, helping us deepen existing relationships and create opportunities for future collaboration.
Growing connections across Central Asia
International student recruitment is constantly evolving, and October is a particularly interesting moment in the academic calendar.
While some international students are beginning their studies in Poland and others are awaiting visa decisions, a new generation of prospective students is already exploring university options abroad.
Despite the challenges facing the international education sector, the conversations we had throughout ASK FAIR 9.0 highlighted the continued interest in studying in Poland and the importance of accessible, high-quality international education.
As UTA continues to develop its presence in Central Asia, we are especially pleased to see our trusted educational partners expanding their activities and supporting students in making informed decisions about their academic futures.
For us, international recruitment is about more than presenting study programmes. It is about building trust, understanding students’ aspirations, and creating meaningful connections that can grow into long-term academic relationships.
Thank you, Central Asia!
To everyone who visited us in Almaty, Bishkek, and Osh – thank you!
Thank you for your curiosity, enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and inspiring conversations. Meeting so many ambitious young people eager to explore international education opportunities was one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the entire Ask Consulting team in Almaty, Bishkek, and Osh for their professionalism, hospitality, and excellent organisation of ASK FAIR 9.0.
Special thanks go to our partner schools, prospective students, and their parents, whose openness and engagement made this experience particularly valuable.
Until we meet again!
We return from Central Asia with fresh perspectives, valuable connections, and renewed motivation to continue developing UTA’s international presence.
ASK FAIR 9.0 may have come to an end, but the conversations and relationships built along the way are only the beginning.
We look forward to continuing these partnerships, welcoming future students to Poland, and creating even more opportunities to connect education across borders.
