We are proud to announce that the postgraduate programme Biotope Engineering has received the Honorary Patronage of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP). This exceptional distinction confirms the high quality of the programme and its key importance for the future of designing urbanised spaces.
A response to today’s challenges
In an era of accelerating climate change, rapid urbanisation, and environmental degradation, traditional approaches to design are no longer enough. The loss of natural habitats and the extinction of species place new responsibilities on designers. Biotope Engineering is a programme born out of the need to actively shape living conditions by combining biological knowledge with engineering, technology, and architecture.
Why is SARP’s patronage so important?
The decision of the Association of Polish Architects to grant its patronage to the programme is a clear signal that the architectural community recognises the need for the profession to evolve. Today’s architects and engineers must have the competencies not only to protect what remains, but above all to consciously restore and create new, resilient habitats.
Interdisciplinarity: The programme combines ecology with technical design.
Innovation: We focus on Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
Practice: We educate leaders of change, ready to tackle the climate crisis through real-world design practice.
Join the pioneers of ecosystem-based design
We invite architects, urban planners, landscape designers, and all industry professionals who wish to expand their competencies with unique knowledge in the field of biotope engineering.
