Graduates of our MBA programme are eligible to sit on the supervisory boards of state-owned companies and are exempt from the requirement to sit an exam.

In an era of accelerated digitalisation, the development of cloud computing, automation and artificial intelligence, IT leaders are expected not only to possess technological expertise, but also the ability to strategically manage change and innovation. The Wrocław Business Academy responds to these needs by offering a two-semester MBA in IT Management & AI, which combines advanced knowledge of technology management with a practical approach to the use of artificial intelligence in business.

The programme has been designed for IT leaders who wish to effectively manage technology projects, teams of experts and digital transformation processes, harnessing the potential of AI. The programme offers a unique combination of IT management with knowledge of the latest tools, such as Generative AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Prompt Engineering, AI-driven process automation, as well as a strategic approach to data management and information security.

Scope of studies Arrow

The programme covers topics relating to organisational and IT project management, digital transformation and the implementation of innovation. It focuses on the practical application of artificial intelligence, data analytics and process automation in business. Students gain knowledge in the areas of technology team management, Agile and Scrum methodologies, IT architecture, cloud computing and cybersecurity. The programme also covers product management, legal and ethical aspects related to IT and AI, as well as finance and the evaluation of technology projects.

The programme is complemented by the leadership, communication and decision-making skills essential for the role of a technology manager and leader.

Currently a Skytap Product Advocate at Kyndryl (previously at IBM, PMI, Nokia and WSB Merito). She successfully utilises hybrid project management methodologies, delivering tangible financial benefits to the company. Over her 15-year career, she has delivered programmes and projects in areas such as Hybrid Cloud, Transition and Transformation, as well as European Union funding schemes, for companies with both Polish and foreign capital.

Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft AI Fundamentals, Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity Fundamentals, IBM Cloud Advocate, FinOps Practitioner, FinOps Engineer, FinOps Analyst, FinOps Leader, FinOps for Containers, Agile PM, ITIL, Six Sigma Green Belt, PRINCE2, Professional Scrum Master, and ISO Internal Auditor.

KATARZYNA PILARCZYK

For over 20 years, she has been managing international projects and programmes in the fields of skills development and transformation, education, culture and diversity. Since the start of her career, she has led international teams and worked for various international institutions (such as the European Commission and UNESCO), multinational corporations, manufacturing companies, higher education institutions and non-governmental organisations. An experienced mentor and coach. She holds numerous certificates confirming her qualifications, including:

  • GALLUP Certified Talent Coach,
  • EQ-i Coach in the development of emotional intelligence,
    Lumus Coach in the development of competencies using the 360-degree feedback method,
  • DDI Certified Leadership Coach,
  • Certified Project Manager (PMI PMP),

Since March 2022, she has been working as a Learning Leader and is responsible for the development of leadership competencies among leaders and managers at all levels in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for PPG – the world’s largest manufacturer of paints, coatings and specialty materials. A graduate of master’s and doctoral programmes in management sciences at the Wrocław University of Economics, she began her professional career in 2003.

 

PAWEŁ RASZEJA

A graduate of Wrocław University of Technology, he began his professional career in 1993 at Telekomunikacja Polska S.A.

Over the course of his 32-year career, he has managed projects for over 24 years, including more than 16 in the IT sector. He implemented Poland’s first system for the automatic creation of broadband services, and subsequently took up the position of Programme Director, whose aim, in collaboration with France Telecom, was to implement a platform for remote diagnosis of broadband networks and the creation of internet services.

In April 2011, he joined the Euro 2012 team and took up the position of Telco Venue Manager. Paweł – a UEFA-accredited manager – worked with a team of over 120 people to build the IT infrastructure at the Municipal Stadium in Wrocław, enabling over 1.4 billion people worldwide to watch and listen to broadcasts of matches played at the stadium.

In January 2013, he joined IBM as Head of the Project Management Department and Europe Transition Leader, managing a team of over 200 Project Managers across Europe and India.

Currently, since September 2021, he has been continuing his professional career at EY, leading strategic projects

For the past 8 years, he has been teaching MBA courses at the Wrocław Business Academy; he is also the originator and co-creator of the proprietary MBA programme ‘MBA Project Management and AI’.

 

REMIGIUSZ SAMBORSKI

Remigiusz Samborski began his career in IT projects at Nokia Siemens; he then spent many years developing the interactive agency NetShock Creative, before eventually, as he gained experience, taking on responsibility for the coordination and comprehensive management of the project portfolio as Delivery Director at the international company SoftServe. Co-founder of the Sambors.pl brand, which brings together project management enthusiasts.

He has nearly 20 years’ experience in the IT industry. Remigiusz holds certifications such as: Project Management Professional (PMP®), SAFe® Agilist, Professional Scrum Master, Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Machine Learning Engineer. Additionally, he shares his knowledge of modern technologies and project management as a lecturer at the Wrocław Business Academy.

He currently serves as Lead Developer Relations Engineer at the world’s most recognisable company – Google.

 

Simona Kowalska

Simona Kowalska is an IT Project Manager with over 10 years’ experience in IT service management. Throughout her career, she has held key roles such as Demand Manager, Service Owner and Service Manager, with a strong focus on understanding and meeting clients’ business needs. She approaches new challenges with enthusiasm in the rapidly changing world of new technologies.

She completed her master’s degree at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, earning a Master’s degree in Financial Management. She also holds a Master’s degree in Economics, which gives her a broad perspective on managing both technical and financial resources.

Throughout her career, she has obtained numerous industry certifications from organisations such as AWS, Azure, IBM and APMG International, including ITIL and FinOps, which confirm her knowledge and skills in IT service management, project management and cloud cost optimisation.

 

Jakub Wasyluk

Project Manager specialising in the implementation of cloud-based IT applications.

He currently works at Kyndryl as a Technical Account Manager and is responsible for ModernOps/FinOps services, from the solution design stage in response to client enquiries as part of the sales process, through to the development, implementation and subsequent maintenance of the service to the highest standard.

Throughout his career spanning over 15 years, he has led projects and teams responsible for the construction and development of IT infrastructure (data centres), as well as the development of services and applications. He is always keen to try out new technologies, solutions and tools to respond effectively to client needs.

 

BARTŁOMIEJ OSIEKA

A long-standing consultant and academic lecturer. A graduate of the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, the WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz, and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Between 2006 and 2011, he managed the Ernst & Young ‘Sprawne Państwo’ programme. He has participated in numerous research projects in the fields of economics and law. He has collaborated with teams from the London School of Economics, Emory University, the University of Oxford, the European Bank Coordination Initiative and the Ombudsman.

He has received scholarships from the Kingdom of Norway, the DAAD, the Hertie Foundation and the Marie Curie Fellowship.

 

DR BARTOSZ GONCZAREK

Co-founder of Apple-award-winning software used by millions of students and teachers worldwide. A finalist in the Polish Business Council’s Wejchert Award and the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition. He founded and, as CEO and founder, led a Wrocław-based start-up that has taken universities and schools around the world by storm. In 2022, his company and product became part of a global leader in the education market — Promethean, a company listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

Trained as a computer scientist and economist, he has advised the management boards of the region’s largest companies on the subject and currently advises firms developing innovative technology-based solutions. He is the author of an upcoming book on the right approach to the technology of the future, due to be published in 2025. As part of WAB, he leads a series of lectures on International Business and Business Management, in which practical examples take precedence over textbook knowledge.

  2. After we receive it, we would like to invite you to the MBA interview by Teams.
  3. Next step is to complete all documents required in recruitment process:
  • Completed application form for admission to MBA Program
  • Two copies of signed study contract
  • Legalized or apostilised copy of the diploma of completion of higher education degree (at least first-cycle) studies
  • Supplement or excerpt of study register (and its certified translation into Polish – for foreigners) – applies to Polish universities’ graduates who completed their studies after 2005
  • Confirmation of payment of administration fee and at least 1 instalment
  • English proficiency certificate (or passed internal WAB English Exam – cost 200 PLN)
